Milan were decidedly subdued in the first half, with Lazio trying through Castellanos, Basic, and Isaksen. In the second half, the Rossoneri took a different approach, coming close to scoring first through Loftus Cheek and then Leao. But the winner came from Zaccagni, who capitalized on a corner with 10 minutes remaining to head past Maignan. Lazio advanced, Milan eliminated.
