Grande successo la festa di San Valentino organizzata dal Terelle Club di Toronto

Some 500 people partied late into the night to the beat of DJ Platinum celebrating the Terelle Social Club’s annual St. Valentine’s Dinner Dance at Montecassino Woodbridge.

Enthusiastic dancing by the multigenerational crowd punctuated the multiple courses of good food.  Paesani and old friends made new friends.  There was much laughter, teasing and applause over table mates winning the many prizes that were up for grabs. (Many thanks to our many sponsors!)

Along with the camaraderie and frivolity, the evening had its more serious moments.   The Terelle Social Club celebrated, with great pride, the academic success of its students by awarding scholarships to: Grade 8 – tie Cassandra Cescon – daughter of Steven and Irena Cescon; Francis Elia – son of Dr. Christian Elia and Linda De Ciantis; Grade 9 Adam Del Duca – son of Frank and Angelina Del Duca; Grade 10 Sophia Trelle – daughter of Dario and Jennifer Trelle; Grade 11

Alessia Grossi – daughter of Benny and Donna Grossi; Grade 12 – tie Giancarlo Di Palma – son of Raffaele and Rosella Di Palma; Samantha Grossi – daughter of Fabrizio and Silvia Grossi

Nazzareno Tesa, president, assisted by Michael Tibollo, Minister of Mental Health for Vaughan Woodbridge, and Francesco Sorbara, MP for Vaughan Woodbridge, made the presentations. (Unfortunately, not all our scholars were able to be present. )

Thanks to Iolanda Russo of EXTRA TV Frosinone Italy the evening was shared, via technology, with the first female mayor of Terelle,  Fiorella Gazzellone, who stayed up into the wee hours of the morning to take part.

It was a memorable evening, enjoyed by our very youngest guest, aged 2 to our oldest aged 100 years!

Circa 500 persone hanno festeggiato fino a tarda ora ballando alla musica di DJ Platinum celebrando il ballo di S. Valentino del Terelle Social Club presso il Montecassino Woodbridge.

L’entusiasmo dei presenti di tutt’eta’ e’ stato interrotto da multi portate di ottimo cibo.  Paesani, parenti, e vecchi amici hanno formato nuove amicizie.  Vi sono state molte risate, commenti scherzosi, e sfotto’ amichevoli mirati a compagni di tavolo che hanno vinto i tanti bei premi in palio.  (grazie ai tanti patrocinatori)

Con i festeggiamenti e le leggerezze, vi sono stati anche momenti piu’ seri. Il Terelle Social Club ha celebrato, con tanto d’orgoglio,  il successo accademico dei suoi studenti,  assegnando delle borse di studio a: Grado 8 – tie Cassandra Cescon – figlia di Steven e Irena Cescon; Francis Elia – figlio di Dr. Christian Elia e Linda De Ciantis; Grado 9 Adam Del Duca – figlio di Frank e Angelina Del Duca; Grado 10 Sophia Trelle – figlia di Dario e Jennifer Trelle; Grado 11

Grazie a Iolanda Russo EXTRA TV Frosinone Italia la serata e’ stata condivisa, tramite la technologia, con la sindaca di Terelle,  Fiorella Gazzellone, la quale ha fatto la notte in bianco per poter partecipare.

E’ stata una bellissima serata, goduta e dall’ospite piu’ giovane, di 2 anni; e dalla piu’ anziana di 100 anni d’eta’!!
